Do you want to enjoy the beautiful flowers from your own garden or balcony all year long? Let me create a unique garden portrait for you. You can bring the flowers to my studio in Rotterdam and I will make a number of images. In consultation we will choose the one you like most. Please keep in mind that not all flowers are suitable to be photographed in this way but I’ll try my best to portrait the flowers you love the most!
And in case you want some flowers but don’t need exactly those that you have: the images on thise site are are available as framed prints in edition in two different sizes.

PRICES
The garden portraits you see here can be ordered and will be printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Bright White papier.
There are two sizes available:
- 20x26cm (edition of 15 plus 2AP) €425
- 30x36cm (edition of 8 plus two AP) €525
For both sizes, prints are framed with Dutch wood and protected with reflective museumglas.

As described above you can also order a custom made garden portrait. There are two options available:
- you bring your flowers to my studio in Rotterdam.
Add €150 to the price of the size in which you
want the print
- I will come to your garden and make a portrait
there. Add €250 to the prize of the size you want
plus €0,30 per of travel expenses per kilometer.
Please keep in mind that I need about three
hours for photographing and a quiet, windstil
room to work in :)
The edition of your portrait is 1 (plus 2 AP), which means that your print is unique and will not multiplied. Only I still have two additional prints (the 'AP' or 'artist's proof'. An artist proof is a print for the artist himself that can, for example, be used in an exhibition). Do you want your portrait in a different size? Let’s discuss what works best for you.

When I was 11 I took a course in Ikebana in my native Germany. Ikebana is a Japanese tradition of flower arranging, often working with a few single flowers and/ or branches.
Ikebana is also called kadō (華道 or 花道) - the way of flowers. It has a minimalist character and special emphasis is placed on composition.
In the garden portraits I make now, I do not adhere to traditional compositions from Ikebana but in the way I look at the flowers, create compositions and emphasize the shapes, ‘the way of flowers’ and the focus to portrait them in their beautiful simplicity, definitely comes back.
